ONSCENE TV – 10.31.2019 | 12:39 AM | JURUPA VALLEY – A vegetation fire possibly caused by a pursuit crash burned more than 300 acres, early Thursday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a fire burning in the 5300 block of 46th Avenue around 12:39 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a fire that quickly grew to over 300 acres.

Crews battled the wind-fueled fire for hours burning through a rebar business, a pallet yard, and the Louis Robidoux Nature Center.

The fire broke out near a crash involving a police pursuit of a reportedly stolen vehicle that left one person in custody.
