With fire activity increasing in numbers every year True North Gear had the occasion to develop a new, advanced line of wildland clothing that provides a better balance between comfort and thermal protection.

Dragon Slayerâ„¢ Brush Shirt

The Dragon Slayer™ Brush Shirt is the smart choice when doing battle with wild fire. Combining the comfort you need with the toughness you depend on, this shirt blends trusted materials with innovative features. It’s constructed with a stand up collar for complete neck coverage, and the addition of a mic-clip tab on the front of the shirt for convenience. There’s a large chest pocket with hook and loop closures and a second zippered chest pocket with a port in the back to allow headphones to be connected inside the shirt. It is designed with a tailored fit for maximum mobility and comfort, extra-long, square-cut tails that won’t pull out and hook and loop cuff closures to keep the grit out. The fabric is made from flame resistant Nomex IIIA or Tecasafe Plus and is NFPA 1977 Certified.

Dragon Slayerâ„¢ Wildland Pants

The Dragon Slayer™ pants are optimized for mobility, the True North Gear design makes it easier to move when you’re working on a steep side-slope, while reducing chaffing at the same time. Durability has been worked into every detail of the design and construction to ensure a long service life. Made from flame resistant Advance, Nomex IIIA or Tecasafe Plus, the pants feature multiple pockets including two well-sized rear pockets, snag proof side cargo pockets, and front wrangler style pockets with a reinforced patch for clip-knives. For higher quality comfort the pants also include a Tru-Fit™ micro-adjustable elastic waist band for a custom fit, diamond-gusseted crotch panel, wear-guard patched on the inside of the cuffs for maximum durability, and fully adjustable ankle straps to keep the dirt out. They are fire resistant and built to the exacting standards of NFPA 1977.
